Our client, located on the coast in Alaska, is seeking to add Advanced Practice Providers to their Village Clinics. This is a rural health primary care position serving patients in remote areas. Monday - Friday position with shared call. Experience is required for this opportunity due to its autonomous nature. Providers with a background in rural health or emergency medicine are welcome to apply. This facility is one of the top-paying organizations in the area. Located on the southern side of the Seward Peninsula along the Bering Sea coast in Arctic Alaska, this region is an interesting destination that combines Alaska’s gold rush history with rich Iñupiat culture, great fishing, and plentiful wildlife.
The city is perhaps best known today as the finish line for the 1,049-mile Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race. The race begins the first Saturday in March in Anchorage, and the first dog teams begin arriving in Nome as soon as eight days later. Nome's Iditarod Festival begins a week after the start and continues as all of the mushers make their way in.
